Zoe Saldana lands her first magazine cover since giving birth to her twins boys. And she’s gracing the cover of InStyle magazine’s July 2015 issue where she opens up about body post-pregnancy. Also, Willow Smith has nabbed her first major fashion campaign, posing it up for fashion designer Marc Jacobs. More inside….
Guardians of the Galaxy star Zoe Saldana became a first-time mom after giving birth to her twin boys Cy and Bowie (with husband Marco Perego) in November 2014. Now, six months later, the Hollywood actress is debuting her post-pregnancy bod on the cover of InStyle magazine’s July 2015 issue.
Shot by Paul Maffi in Malibu’s Villa de Leon, the YBF actress showed off her trimmed physique in a Dolce & Gabbana dress, accessorized with a bracelet and ring by Dior Fine Jewelry. And she’s look amazing.
In the mag, the Avatar starlet reveals she may never get back to her pre-pregnancy, but that’s ok! She’s totally focused on being healthy no matter what the scale says. She spilled,
“I don’t want to get back to where I used to be. I want to feel healthy, and not just fit into the old jeans I used to wear. I’m a woman now. My body has changed forever. It’s softer… and stronger.”
Well Zoe, we actually love your post-baby curves.
The 36-year-old star also talked about her Italian artist husband taking HER last name, rather than her taking his. She said,
“I tried to talk him out of it. I told him, ‘If you use my name, you’re going to be emasculated by your community of artists, by your Latin community of men, by the world,’” she says. “But Marco looks up at me and says, ‘Ah, Zoe, I don’t give a s—.’”
Zoe’s cover with her full interview will be available on newsstands and for digital download June 12th.
In an upcoming fashion campaign….
Not many 14-year-olds can say they’ve posed it up a major fashion campaign…but Willow Smith sure can.
The daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith is one of the new faces of Marc Jacobs’ Fall/Winter 2015 collection. And she’s serving up a little goth chicness for her pictorial.
Shot by David Sims, the “cool kid” rocks a black pleated skirt, paired with a sequined top as she works her magic sitting on a ladder. The famed designer revealed her editorial via his Instagram with the caption,
Ever since our first Juergen Teller ad in 1998 which featured Kim Gordon on stage wearing my dress, I have always preferred collaborating with the people who inspire me to give new life to the clothes we show on our runway.
Over the years we have photographed an incredibly diverse and exceptional group of talented friends and individuals who I greatly admire: Victoria Beckham, Jamie Bochert, Jarvis Cocker, Sofia Coppola, Miley Cyrus, Dakota Fanning, William Eggleston, Jessica Lange, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Stephen Malkmus, Samantha Morton, Kate Moss, Charlotte Rampling, Winona Ryder, Stephanie Seymour, Cindy Sherman, Michael Stipe, and Rufus Wainwright, just to name a few. Beauty, style and talent know no age. It is those individuals whose creativity, unique vision, and voice inspire all of us here to create and express ourselves through our medium: fashion.
Photographed by David Sims, this season’s ads feature friends, each of whom evoke a sense of intrigue and inspiration and collectively provoke a true consideration for individuality.
Here today I would like to share (not CHER) with you first, the talented, stylish and charming Willow Smith @gweelos
Stay tuned over the coming weeks for more…
Willow joins 69-year-old singer Cher as the latest faces of his new ad campaign, and based on his caption, more faces will be coming soon. We expect this upcoming campaign to bring much diversity all while keeping with the gothic-theme.
