On Monday ASCAP announced that next month Xscape will be receiving their prestigious Golden Note Award.
According to Billboard, the group will be presented with the award at the 31st annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards.
All four original members will be presented with the award, and join the likes of previous Golden Note Award recipients Usher, Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys and Jay-Z.
Tameka “Tiny” Harris took to social media to express her gratitude and said, “What can I say but thank you ASCAP for giving my group Xscape your highest achievement award The Golden Note Award it’s so amazing to me that the ladies & I, keep receiving all these new accolades 25 years later!! Thank you to everyone that has been supporting the comeback of Xscape & Xscape3! We love y’all!!”
Last year Xscape reunited after being broken up for nearly 20 years. They documented their comeback through their docu-series on Bravo.
The ASCAP 31st annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards goes down on June 21st in Los Angeles.
