White Sox relief pitcher Danny Farquhar was released from RUSH University Medical Center Monday after suffering a brain hemorrhage from a ruptured aneurysm during a game on April 20.

Farquhar, now resting at home with his family, collapsed during the game last month, and was immediately rushed to the hospital.

While Farquhar is expected to be able to pitch again in his career, he has been ruled out for 2018 in order to properly recover from the brain hemorrhage.

Farquhar, who has played for the Blue Jays, Mariners, Rays and White Sox, has 18 career saves and a career 3.93 ERA.
