According to the NY Post, someone sent a local news station videos of several girls being forced into painful splits, and some could even be heard screaming, “Please stop!”

The incident has caused five employees to be put on administrative leave: Coach Ozell Williams, principal Andy Mendelaberg, assistant principal Lisa Porter, assistant cheerleading coach Mariah Cladis and even an attorney from the Denver Public School system.

In one of the videos, 13-year-old freshman cheerleader Ally Wakefield can be seen being forced down into a split by four people, one of those was her coach.

She asked nine times in the video for them to stop which is extremely alarming. The school system is taking this situation very seriously.

“This is standard practice in an investigation of this type,” Superintendent Tom Boasberg said in a statement on the school’s website. “It does not imply or prejudge in any way the actions of the individuals or what the investigation might determine.”

“We want to reiterate our commitment to the safety of our students. We absolutely prohibit any practices that place our students’ physical and mental health in jeopardy. We do not and will not allow any situation in which a student is forced to perform an activity or exercise beyond the point at which they express their desire to stop.”

Wakefield’s father told reporters that he’s been unable to get any sleep after watching the videos hit the net because he claims his daughter is getting cyberbullied.
