An Iraqi reporter had an extremely close call while holding up his camera in Mosul, Iraq.

The reporter thinks he is safe standing beside the vehicle, but quickly he realizes that he is in the range of an ISIS sniper when a round hits his GoPro and knocks it right off his chest.

The GoPro is immediately destroyed and pieces of it shoot into his face. Luckily, he manages to survive the shot, which was only a few inches from his heart.

According to the Daily Mail, the name of the reporter is Ammar Alwaely.

It is evident based on the video that the vehicle had previously been involved in the fighting, as the windows and windshield have been broken or shattered by incoming rounds.
