Trying to determine how far rounds shot from the air can penetrate the earth, Matt Carriker from Demolition Ranch attempts to fire several different rounds from different guns into the earth from 40 feet above the ground.

Standing on a 40-foot cliff, Carriker fires a 1911, an S&W .500 Magnum, a .308, and a .50 cal BMG from a Barrett sniper rifle. He then has to go down to the ground to search for the rounds and unearth them to find out how far they traveled into the earth.

Seeing how far that .50 cal BMG dug into the earth, you can only imagine how deep rounds fired from an AC-130 gunship would penetrate the earth.
