Tyler Perry’s lates film, Good Deeds, had a decent opening weekend and he couldn’t be happier.
With $16 miliion in ticket sales this weekend, Good Deeds made a great showing, but it only came in #2 this weekend. Act of Valor, which came in at #1, beat it out for the top spot at the box office by raking in more than $24.5 million.
The film stars Perry, Gabrielle Union, Thandie Newton, and Phylicia Rashad, and despite mixed reviews, raked in $16 million in its opening weekend, Perry’s second-lowest opening.
Tyler isn’t terribly concerned about the rankings at the box office, though. He’s just glad that he was able to turn out a great film for all of his fans, some of whom wondered whether Good Deeds would measure up to their expectations.
Did you see the film? What did you think?
