Tyler Perry sues alleged stalker for over $100000 and petitions for protective order against Joshua Sole, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The 27-year-old Dunwoody resident, who appears to be a former employee of the famed director’s, was arrested Friday and charged with criminal trespass at Tyler Perry Studios, according to court papers.
Sole had tried to contact Perry Thursday — but when he didn’t reach him, he went to action-movie lengths to try to get facetime with the “Gone Girl” actor.
According to a lawsuit, he disengaged the power to disable alarms and surveillance equipment at the studio and climbed through a suspended ceiling into the studio.
Atlanta Police responded to a call about an intruder at the studio, where Sole had apparently barricaded himself into an administrative office. One of his superiors told cops that “employee Joshua Sole has been acting weird.”
It took authorities four hours to collar Sole, and he was booked in the Fulton County jail Friday morning. He was released later that day on $7,000 signature bond, meaning he put up nothing of value.
On top of the $100,000 — and $25,000 for attorney fees — Perry is asking the court to ban Sole from coming within 500 feet of him, and to force the accused stalker to undergo psychological evaluation and treatment.
