Former #TheYoungAndTheRestless actor #KristoffStJohn, whose character in the show was #NeilWinters, cause of death has been ruled as an accident, and the cause was listed as hypertrophic heart disease.
According to @enews, on February 3rd, Kristoff was found dead in his Woodland Hills home in California around 2 p.m. on a Sunday. As you #Roomies may remember, Kristoff was found by one of his friends, after he went to check on him. An autopsy allegedly revealed the cause of death a day later, but it was deferred by the L.A. County Coroner until an “additional investigation” was finished. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, an investigation took place shortly after 2 p.m. for a possible alcohol overdose.
CBS Television Network and Sony Pictures Television was heartbroken by his untimely passing, and they stated the following in a joint statement: “The news of Kristoff St. John’s passing is heartbreaking. He was a very talented actor and an even better person.” They went on to say on the behalf of ‘The Young and the Restless’ crew, CBS and Sony Pictures Television, “We offer our heartfelt sympathy to his family and loved ones, especially his two daughters, Paris and Lola.”
Kristoff’s fiancé, #KseniyaMikhaleva tried to attend his funeral at the beginning of this month, but was rejected by the Embassy after she applied for an “emergency” visa several weeks prior. She stated her “Heart is broken,” and continued to say, “I am going through a huge pain in my heart…Fly, my love, and finally find peace.”
Kristoff St. John was only 52-years-old when he passed, and had been a part of the “Young and the Restless” for 27 years. He also starred in other T.V. shows, “Martin,” “Living Single,” “A Different World,” and “The Bad News Bears”.
