Two former LAPD officers were sentenced to 25 years each for sexually assaulting women while on duty.

According to CBS News, on Monday James Nichols, 46, and Luis Valenzuela, 45, entered no contest pleas as they were set to stand trial on charges of rape and forced oral copulation.

The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said that the two former partners assaulted a total of four women between 2008 and 2011.

All of the women were involved in drug-related investigations and ranged from the ages 19 to 34-years old. The women accused the officers of pressuring them into sex to avoid getting jail time.

One of the victims claimed that over a span of 18 months she was assaulted by the officers four times, twice by Nicholas, once by Valenzuela and once by both men.

The Los Angeles Times reports that both men were arrested in February 2016 and have remained in jail since. They were placed on unpaid leave back in 2013 and relieved from duty.

Last year the Los Angeles City Council were reportedly willing to pay almost $2 million to settle the lawsuits brought on by the victims.
