Yesterday we reported on a story about a 19-year-old boy, James Eric Davis Jr., who opened fire inside a Michigan university building, killing two people. New information has revealed that this wasn’t a random attack because the two people he killed were his parents!
According to the Chicago Tribune, James was arrested immediately after officers saw him passing through campus midnight Saturday.
“Law enforcement personnel responded and arrested the suspect without incident,” according to the university’s website.
People who knew the family said Davis Jr. was a
“respectful” and “a good kid” and his parents were “upstanding,” and also said they saw no obvious signs of trouble with the teenager, who was a sophomore at the school in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
“He was a good kid, always,” said Deantre DeYoung, 20, who met Davis Jr. when they were high school freshmen at Plainfield South High School . “You would never expect something like this to come from James.”
What’s even more disturbing about all of this is that his parents were reportedly picking him from college for spring break before this tragedy occurred.
