There has been much speculation around the fate of Lor iLoughlin and the dozens of other wealthy parents involved in the recent college admissions scandal. But it looks like justice may actually be served.

After being charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud last month, Lori and her husband Mossimo Giannulli, were asked how they would plea in the case. The couple chose not to submit a plea, and have now been additionally charged with money laundering, CNN reports.

The grand jury indictment supersedes Lori and Mossimo’s previous charge of a possible 2 years in prison. Now, the couple face a possible 40 years in prison for their participation in the largest college admissions case ever prosecuted in the country.

Lori, Mossimo and 15 other parents may also have to pay a whopping $750,000 fine according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts. This indictment comes just one day after Felicity Huffman agreed to plead guilty in the case.

Lori and Mossimo are accused of paying $500,000 to a fake charity run by Rick Singer in order to get their two daughters into the University of Southern California as crew recruits by bribing the coach.

Prosecutors believe Singer also used the money to bribe SAT and ACT exam administrators to allow a person to take exams in place of the celebrity children, or correct their answers.

Lori and her children endured some drastic changes since the scandal broke, including signs of money troubles. Lori was dropped by the Hallmark channel and other brands in the wake of her charges. Her daughter Olivia Jade was also dropped from her makeup partnership with Sephora.

The couple is now waiting for an arraignment date.
