Inclusion is definitely the theme for fashion in 2017 because just a week after announcing its women’s plus size collection, Nike is now dropping it’s “Nike Pro Hijab” for their Muslim athletes!

According to CNN Money, the hijab, which reportedly took 13 months to make, came into creation after Muslim athletes would complain about having to wear their traditional head scarves while competing. To help solve the issue, Nike made its hijabs–“with tiny holes will make it breathable while remaining opaque, a requirement for hijab-wearing women.”

Nike also said in a statement, “the Nike Pro Hijab may have been more than a year in the making, but its impetus can be traced much further back, to an ongoing cultural shift that has seen more women than ever embracing sport.”

Emirati figure skater Zahra Lari seemed to be very excited about Nike’s new addition.

“I was thrilled and a bit emotional to see Nike prototyping a Hijab,” Lari said. “I’ve tried so many different hijabs for performance, and…so few of them actually work for me. But once I put it on and took it for a spin on the ice, I was blown away by the fit and the light weight.”

The collection is set to drop Spring ’18.
