While you’re scared by the mere thought of a snake, this little fella is mastering their capture without breaking sweat.
Two-year-old Jenson Harrison has been busy catching snakes on the Gold Coast in Australia, and he’s been dubbed “little snake boy” for his reptile-handling efforts.
His parents, Tony and Brooke, are professional snake catchers. Jenson has been following them around on the job while also juggling kindergarten.
“Within 24 hours of being born he was under Brooke’s arm, catching snakes … every single day since then he’s been surrounded by snakes one way or another,” Tony told 7 News.
It’s not just snakes: Jenson can handle various other scaly beings, including goannas and blue tongue lizards.
Being creepy AF animals to most of us, it’s no surprise that some people haven’t been super approving.
“A lot of people are concerned, they look at it and think that it’s dangerous,” Tony told the news outlet. “We watch him like a hawk, because he is very enthusiastic and if we didn’t watch him it wouldn’t be long before he went and grabbed something that would grab him back.”
Jenson only gets to touch harmless snakes, while his dad handles the more dangerous ones.
But the little cutie is getting an important life lesson, thanks to his dad: That “all creatures and all life is very, very precious.”
