March 9th marks 20 years since Notorious B.I.G.’s passing and BET plans to honor the late legend!
According to Rap Up, the network has planned to make the whole day’s programming centered around Big, and will feature fans, friends, and collaborators.
Via Rap Up:
“The network’s celebration of Biggie’s life will feature appearances by Lil Cease, Raekwon, DJ Premier, 112, Stevie J, DJ Clark Kent, and Funkmaster Flex, who will participate in a special titled “I Talked To: Biggie.”
As you can imagine, the industry has had to reach into the Barney bag to find new ways to honor Big–but after 20 years, that well runs deep–as you can tell by projects like “I Talked To: Biggie,” and Faith Evans soon-to-drop duet album with him.
Also, get excited about this: reportedly, artists like Remy Ma, Trey Songz, Bone Thungs-N-Harmomy, Dej Loaf and Method Man are participating in a project called “Kick in the Lyrics,” which is modeled after “Kick in the Door.” We hear that the artist will be performimg th first verse of “Juicy.”
