Two Chicago teens were arrested last month after Oak Park police said they attempted to steal a delivery driver’s car.
Oak Park village spokesman David Powers said the restaurant delivery driver was making a delivery on the 600 block of Clinton Avenue around 7 p.m. Dec. 28, when he saw three men walk past him, one of them opening the driver’s side door of his running car.
The delivery man told police he responded by entering the car through the passenger’s side door and fighting with the suspect, who then got out of the car and left the area with the two other individuals, Powers said.
The driver reportedly contacted police while following the suspects. Police located two suspects on the 400 block of Clinton and the 200 block of South Kenilworth Avenue, where they were taken into custody, police said.
Ages of the two teens arrested were not provided.
