The life of R&B singer Teena Marie will be celebrated during a private memorial service on Monday, Jan. 10.  The 54-year-old singer, who died unexpectedly in her sleep on Dec. 26, will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery’s Liberty Hall at 1pm PST.

An estimated 700 people are expected for the invite-only Catholic funeral service.   This, just days after investigators said an autopsy turned up no discernible cause of death for “Ivory Queen of Soul’s” sudden death the day after Christmas

Marie is survived by her 19-year-old daughter Alia Rose, also a singer who performs under the name, Rose Le Beau. Rose recently tweeted these sweet words to her mother, “I will make you proud until we meet again, I love you @MsTeenaMarie.”

We love you Teena “Lady T” Marie!!
