Former Death Row Records owner Marion “Suge” Knight has decided to team up with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) in an effort to promote awareness for animal cruelty. A Knight rep explained his motivation for joining PETA’s fight via a statement this week. Confirmed by Kali Bowyer, Suge’s publicist, the former face of West Coast hip-hop will be working alongside PETA for their anti-dog Chaining campaign. “Dogs deserve our love and attention not a life of ‘solitary confinement’ at the end of a chain,” Knight said via a statement. “Dogs depend on us to take care of them, to keep them safe and healthy. Chaining a dog is one of the cruelest things you can to do them – they are social animals.” (XXL Mag)
While details are still coming together, Knight is expected to appear in a photo shoot for the campaign.
