Tonight is the biggest night in the NFL, as the 52nd annual Super Bowl will go down in Minneapolis, MN. We all know aside from the game itself, everyone looks forward to the Halftime Show.
This year Justin Timberlake will be headlining. This is this first time since 2004 when he joined Janet Jackson on stage and the infamous wardrobe malfunction happened towards the end of their performance.
Since Timberlake was announced as this year’s performer, many fans have been pushing for him to reunite with Janet on stage to make up for what went down back in 2004.
For year’s many were under the impression that Janet was banned from performing during the Halftime Show. However, back in October the NFL said that she was not banned.
On Saturday, Janet released a statement to clarify any rumors and let it be known that she will not be a part of this year’s Halftime Show.
However, that didn’t stop Janet fans from declaring this Super Bowl Sunday as #JanetJacksonAppreciationDay. Ironically today also marks the 32nd anniversary of Janet’s album “Control” dropped, so everything seemed to plan out perfectly. Swipe through to see how fans are stanning for Janet.

Janet Jackson really made one of the greatest videos of all time by herself dancing in an abandoned warehouse. “Pleasure Principle.” Almost 31 years later and your faves still can’t keep up. #JanetJacksonAppreciationDay pic.twitter.com/hGqeRh3GCj
