Last night the 69th annual Primetime Emmys went down at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles and some of our favorite stars slayed the carpet and also the main stage.
However, some people couldn’t help to notice that two key people were left out of the memoriam segment of the show.
Like many other award shows, the Emmys takes time to pay tribute to actors, producers, writers and other key people in the industry that have passed within the past year.
Everyone quickly noticed that Dick Gregory and Charlie Murphy were both omitted from the tribute and wasted no time expressing their frustrations on Twitter.
One user said, “Charlie Murphy wasn’t included in the Emmy’s in memoriam segment. Clearly, we must celebrate and give flowers to our own.”
Murphy passed back in July of this year due to leukemia and Dick Gregory passed away in August due to heart failure.
