These days booking a hotel for a long-awaited vacation is easy and can be done in a matter of minutes. It was that easy for Judi Oesterreich, who booked the Astoria hotel in Budapest.

Or so she thought.

About an hour after Oesterreich made her reservation through, a second look uncovered a mistake.

She reserved her room at the Astoria for Aug. 21-24, when she actually needed a room for Sept. 23-26.

Oesterreich said she immediately called to explain the situation.

However, she said she was told her purchase was non-refundable and non-changeable. Emails from the Astoria hotel only directed her back to

Now out $350 dollars and without a hotel room for the actual dates of her trip, Oesterreich reached out to NBC 5 Responds.

In turn, worked with her. Oesterreich only had to pay an additional $85 for same room rate with her preferred dates of stay.

Recently, she returned from that vacation and tells us her hotel was in a great location and close to museums and a famous shopping district.
