The First Family have just two weeks before President Obama steps down from office and they move out of the White House.

And already moving trucks have been spotted pulling up outside the building as the Obamas prepare for life after the presidency.

The president, his wife Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha have called the White House their home for the past eight years.

Earlier trucks were also spotted outside the front of the White House as the Obamas prepare to move out

But after serving two terms, Obama and his family will make way for the President-elect Donald Trump on January 20, the day he is sworn in.

And yesterday afternoon, preparations were already underway for the move after the truck was seen parked outside the White House on West Executive Street.

The street is within the White House gates and is close to the Eisenhower Executive Office and the West Wing.

The truck belonged to Maryland-based company Moving Masters Inc, who describe themselves as a ‘commercial moving and storage company.’

All of their vehicles are decorated with the slogan ‘It’s your move, call the masters.’

However, it is unclear exactly what the company were moving and where it was being taken.

Once Obama and his family move out of the White House, they are expected to relocate to a large property in the upmarket Kalorama neighbourhood of Washington DC.

It is believed their new neighbours could include the new president Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner.

The Obamas have made the unusual decision to stay in the capital because they do not want to interrupt their younger daughter Sasha’s time at high school.

The 14-year-old is a student at Sidwell Friends School, where fees are $39,360 a year.

Her elder sister will be in the middle of a year off when they leave the White House. She is then going to study at Harvard.

Meanwhile it has emerged that White House staff will have just six hours to move out the Obamas and move in the new First Family.

While president-elect Donald Trump delivers his inauguration speech, nearly 100 staffers will be frantically making the 132-room mansion ready for the Trumps.

From 10.30am, staff will begin moving the Obamas’ belongings into waiting trucks on the South Lawn, and moving the Trump family’s items inside.

‘It’s more like organized chaos,’ chief White House usher Stephen Rochon admitted to CNN.

‘We have one truck at the South Lawn that belongs to the outgoing President and first family facing south, and the incoming truck facing north toward the White House is on the east side of the south grounds.’

During the chaotic flurry, some staffers will also be putting their finishing new touches to the dining rooms, while the kitchen staff make a snack for the First Family before the inaugural ball.

Incoming presidents, and their families, are free to make any changes they like to the private floors of the White House, on the second and third floors.

Some had raised concerns that Trump might try to replicate his gaudy, bombastic style – as exhibited in his many buildings including the gold-leafed, blingy Trump Tower in New York.

But the president-elect has promised he has not plans to impose his opulent style on the White House.

He will live in the White House alone for the first few months of his term as his wife Melania will stay behind in New York City while their 10-year-old son Barron finishes the school year.
