Roommates, we are sending our prayers to Sri Lanka after many people were killed and injured at several churches and hotels.
According to ABC News, at least 207 people have been confirmed deceased and hundreds more were injured. There were reportedly about eight explosions that took place, including in three Christian churches and three hotels. St. Anthony’s Shrine, a Catholic church in Colombo, and Zion Church, in Batticaloa, were also attacked.
According to officials, there were reportedly at least nine
foreigners that were confirmed deceased in Colombo. Two were dual
citizens of the U.S. and U.K., one
Portuguese citizen and two U.K. citizens.
At the moment, no one has claimed responsibility for the
attacks, however, Shri Lankan authorities
announced during a press conference that three people had been arrested.
Our Forever President Barack Obama and current President Donald Trump tweeted about the tragic incident and said:
We continue to send our prayers and we’ll keep you updated!
