Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week festivities have made their way over to the creative Czech Republic capital of Prague. Welcoming in the Spring/Summer 2019 season, the city’s dazzling cobble-stoned streets and ornate castles have become the latest runway for local fashion lovers to share some of the limelight alongside the country’s celebrated designers.
Taking place at the Baroque Clam-Gallas Palace, the first two days of Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week SS19 — headed by Lukáš Loskot and his team — featured students from the Architecture and Design Academy (UMPRUM) of Prague along with VAN GRAF Junior Talent 2017 finalist Adam Kost, Dominika Kozakova, Nehera and LAFORMELA. An array of dutch talents also presented collections on day 2 including the vibrant design duo of Schepers Bosman.
Prague’s stylish denizens came out in full force to celebrate the new seasonal lines dressed in street-influenced leisure wear paired with high-end luxury accessories and some of the most-coveted sneakers such as the Virgil Abloh x Converse Chuck 70. Elsewhere streetwear favorite brands Off-White™, Vetements and Balenciaga took centerstage along with their more luxe Louis Vuitton and Chanel counterparts.
