It looks like, NBC has unveiled the pilot episode of its new murder mystery titled Deception starring Meagan Good.

The show centers around detective Joanna Lacasto (Good) who returns to the wealthy and troubled Lawson family home where she grew up while her mother was a live-in housekeeper. Going undercover, she is back to solve the murder of socialite Vivian Lawson, who was once her best friend.

Laz Alonso will play NYPD detective Will Sacovitch, a former flame of Lacasto, who recruits the detective to solve the case. Victor Garber, Tate Donovan, and Katherine LaNasa will also star in the upcoming drama.

Deception premieres Monday, Jan. 7 at 10/9c on NBC.

  1. I’ll definitely be tuning in for this show! One of the girls I work with at DISH showed me the trailer for it the other day, and I’m definitely more than curious to see how it plays out. I like the fact that Meagan Good is the lead role too! I’m looking forward to what it has to offer and thankfully for me, since I work late nights, I don’t have to worry about missing a moment of what’s to come with my DISH Hopper DVR. I have PrimeTime Anytime enabled, so each night all of the major network’s primetime shows automatically record for me. It definitely makes keeping up with my favorite shows just that much easier! 🙂
