Gumbumpers, last year we told you about Singer/Songwriter Torica Cornelius who at the time released the remix to Frank Ocean’s Novacane and was signed to Bryan Michael-Cox’s label. Well, she is now about to drop her sophomore album and single and Gumbumper was hit up with the news FIRST.
It’s set to be one of the biggest pop records of the summer, rising music star Torica will release her new single, “Play Dumb,” to digital & mainstream radio on August 24.
The two-time Grammy nominee’s new CD will arrive later this spring. She wrote the track, which is produced by The Ambassadorz. Torica previously teamed up with the production duo, who produced six tracks from her debut album, A Beautiful Mess.
Since releasing A Beautiful Mess in 2012, Torica has been heavy on the campaign trail, performing in Atlanta, New York, and Los Angeles. She’s amassed over 59,000 views on her music video for single, Need A Break, which won Best Song at the 2013 EOTM Awards on August 4.
Torica is a recording artist at AOne Music Group, past Grammy award nominee, published songwriter at Warner Chappell (publishing division of Warner Brothers), and an active member of ASCAP.
