An event as massive as the Boston Marathon requires a ton of planning to execute well. Everything from working with city police to organizing runners has to be taken care of, and we’re sure there are many tiny unfathomable details to think about every step of the way.
For example, here’s a question we probably wouldn’t have thought goes into marathon planning: How are people supposed to get from one side of the route to the other? People can’t just Frogger their way through runners to cross the street. That would be chaos.
Fortunately, this isn’t the marathon planners’ first rodeo. The timelapse above shows just how seamlessly that situation is dealt with.
