Mariah Carey has performed all over the world over the years. But, she has never hit the stage for her Jamaican fans. That all changed last night as she was tapped to perform at the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival at Greenfield Stadium. And it appears the fans were all into MiMi and her classic hits as they sung along with the Elusive Chanteuse singer.
The Grammy Award winning songstress kept her fans entertained with three wardrobe changes and singing hits such as “Touch My Body” and “Fantasy”. We’re loving her performance pieces.
Oh…get it MiMi!

Another mommy on her grind….
After giving birth to her son Baby Future, new mom Ciara is ready to get back to making music. With the release of her latest track “I Bet”, it appears CiCi is pulling from her own life experiences and making great music in the process.
The R&B chick chopped it up with PEOPLE about how her son has been the inspiration behind her creative process as she works on her new album, which she named after her own mother. She explained,
“As soon as I had my son, everything changed,” she says about choosing to name her upcoming album #Jackie after her mother. “I am now experiencing what [my mother] must have when I was young. [Becoming a mom] has inspired my creative process … and given me clarity both with songwriting as well as musicality for the album.”
Since the release of her new single, everyone speculated that she was singing about her failed relationship with ex-fiance Future. Although she never admits whether or not the track is specifically about him, she did say she pulls from her own life experiences saying, “As a songwriter, I always pull from my life experiences as well as the experiences shared by others.”
Not only is she cranking out new music, but she has also been flossing her post baby bod on magazine covers. And she’s looking fab! She offered up a few tips to new mothers on how to snap back into shape and to not “overthink the process”. She said,
“Enjoy the six-week period you have where you are not allowed to workout,” she says. “As soon as you hit that mark, go hard, but find your pace, have a healthy diet plan … and drink tons of water.”
