UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man who swiped a high-end wallet from an Upper East Side fashion boutique, police said.
The man visited Bally’s on the afternoon of Sept. 15 and used a stolen credit card to make a purchase at the Madison Avenue store, police said. While an employee was printing out a receipt, the man reached into a display case, grabbed a wallet and placed the item in his pants pocket, police said.
The wallet is valued at $1,950, police said.
After the man completed the purchase he fled the store in an unknown direction, police said.
The NYPD recently released photos of the suspect (seen above). The man is described as standing 5-foot-7, weighing about 160 pounds and having a light complexion, police said. Police believe that the man in in his 40s.
