Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliot joined Katy Perry during the Super Bowl XLIX haltftime show. Peep their performances inside….
Pop star Katy Perry headlined Super Bowl XLIX halftime show at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. And she added a little YBF flavor to her 12-minute set seen across the world by millions.
The “Dark House” singer trekked to the stage straddling a huge mechanical lion before she was joined on stage by rockstar Lenny Kravitz:
Lenny rocked out on his Gibson 59 Black Over Flame Top series guitar as he provided some vocals to Katy’s “I Kissed A Girl”. Ahh…we definitely were looking for more of Lenny, but he killed it nonetheless.
Soon after, singer-songwriter Missy Elliot stormed the stage before screaming fans for a “surprise” performance. A few days ago, it was speculated Missy would be joining Katy for the halftime performance.
Missy wowed the masses performing a medley of her hits including “Get Ur Freak On,” “Work It,” and “Lose Control.” Guess they wanted to keep the crowd guessing since they didn’t perform their 2011 hit “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”.
Katy did her best to keep up with the dance moves as she bust a few moves alongside Missy.

And before the Super Bowl XLIX kicked off….
Oscar-nominated singer John Legend was on hand to kick off this year’s Super Bowl game with a live performance right before kick-off. And he doesn’t disappoint.
Providing his own melody behind a piano, the “Glory” singer serenaded football fans with his rendition of “America the Beautiful”. And his wife Chrissy Teigen wasn’t far behind as she was spotted snapping pics with fans while on the field.
In a few weeks, John Legend will be hitting the stage alongside Common at the 87th Academy Awards to perform their joint track “Glory”, which is featured on the SELMA soundtrack. “Glory” nabbed a nominated in the Best Original Song category and the show will air Feb. 22nd on ABC. We’re keeping out fingers crossed.
