The Chicago Cubs were led to a 13-6 MLB win over the Milwaukee Brewers by some big hitting from Kris Bryant.

Bryant hit two home runs and reached a base in all five of his hits while Anthony Rizzo and Ben Zobrist also cleared the fence.

Yan Gomes drove in five runs as the Cleveland Indians beat the Houston Astros 8-6.

Gomes homered in his career-best haul as the Indians claimed a series sweep against the Astros.

Brett Gardner’s eighth home run of the season for the New York Yankees helped them to a 3-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays, Stephen Strasburg struck out 11 in the Washington Nationals’ 3-2 win over the Atlanta Braves and CJ Cron’s grand slam homer inspired the Los Angeles Angels’ 12-5 beating of the New York Mets.

The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Baltimore Orioles 3-1, the Chicago White Sox racked up an impressive 8-1 success over the Seattle Mariners and the Boston Red Sox hammered the Oakland Athletics 12-3.

There were also wins for the San Diego Padres, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the St Louis Cardinals, the Kansas City Royals, the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Colorado Rockies and the Texas Rangers.
