It’s a music-filled Sunday with news from Kanye’s camp….and maybe even Beyoncé’s camp. Deets inside…
Kanye West, spotted above outside a studio in London last night, took to twitter to make the official announcement about his upcoming album. He posted the below cover art and unveiled the album title: So Help Me God.
Yeezy has already released the debut single “Wolves” with Sia Furler and fellow Chicago rapper Vic Mensa. And unveiled his second single, “All Day,” a few nights ago at The Brit Awards.
As for the album, Kanye said on The Breakfast Club radio show recently that the album is “80 percent done.” He also said it will feature “bars, songs, cookout—music that just feels good.”
About why this album already sounds like a direct contradiction to his previous, Kanye says:
“My last album was a protest of music. This album’s just embracing the music, embracing joy, and just being of service to the people.”
No release date has been revealed.
In other music news:
Beyoncé has her Beyhive buzzing with the possibility of new music on the way. She posted this picture of her hand on a soundboard with a simple caption of emojis of earbuds and a music note:
But that’s not the only buzz. Interestingly, model Cara Delevigne — who seems to be everybody’s bestie these days — posted the exact same image with her own hand on an identical professional soundboard:
Hmmm. The two ladies posted the almost identical pic…at the exact same time. Coincidence? Maybe. But that’s a pretty big coincidence for folks not to think there’s a possible collabo in the works. And it has their fans buzzing like crazy.
Cara hasn’t revealed any plans for a music project, although she does have several movies on deck for 2015.
Time will tell…
