Meet The Harrises…officially. “Love & Hip Hop” stars Yandy Smith Harris and Mendeecees Harris walked down the aisle yesterday for a live memorial day wedding. We’ve got a recap inside…
In a sparkling “blinged out” Pnina Tornai wedding gown,Yandy SMmth became Mrs. Mendeecees Harris after a ceremony of holy matrimony yesterday evening. And every “Love & Hip Hop” franchise star and a few other reality folks were there for the production.
We’re not sure where their real friends and extended family were, but Bravo and VH1 stars took over the wedding party at Weylin B. Seymour’s event venue in Brooklyn.
In a live 2 hour show on VH1, their first show ever of its kind, the network mixed pre-wedding preparation footage with live arrivals and nuptials. We saw Yandy and Mendeecees’ mom going at it while shopping for the groomsmen’s wedding looks. But they looked to have kissed and made up by the time the couple said “I Do.”
Yandy and Mendeecees (M) were also captured talking about M’s upcoming jail stint. Apparently, Yandy wasn’t aware that jail time was definite since Mendeecees pleaded guilty to drug related charges last month. But once he explained why he pleaded guilty (because of the large jail time he could face if he pleaded Not Guilty and lost), Yandy questioned whether they should still go through with the wedding. Yandy asked whether that $90,000 they spent on flowers and other mula spent on the over-the-top nuptials (that was mostly paid for by VH1 anyway), could have been better spent investing in their family.
Mendeecees said they should carry on and create their memories that will last them forever, and will help him get through his upcoming jail stint if he actually does end up going.
After penty of tears and kisses (and heavy breathing that the nics caught), Yandy and Mendeecees becme one. The twosome posed it up with the bridal party and family afterwards:
The three flower girls ad their kiddies were ridiculously cute.
Yandy’s father walked her down the aisle and didn’t let his leg amputation stop him like they feared would happen.
And if you’re wondering who the son in the middle is….so was everyone else. His name is Aasim and he was born around the same time as Yandy and Mendeecee’s son Omere (far right). Aasim’s mother’s name is Erika and she is far from shy about calling Yandy out on social media or being a homewrecker of sorts.
It doesn’t seem Mendeecees is keeping him secret as little Aasim was also front and center at the wedding alongside big brother Mendeecees, Jr. (whose mother’s name is Sam), Omere and baby sister Skylar.
Yandy snapped pics with her castmates:
Rich Dollaz was brave enough to show his face despite being currently chased by the law for child support payments. He showed up and got all kisssy in the camera with new girlfriend Moniece.
Tara Wallace of “LAHH” was there to celebrate her girl too.
The ATL crew of Stevie J (who also served as one of the on-camera hosts of the wedding special), Joseline (yes, apparently they’re no longer fighting), Mama Dee, Young Joc and host Tigga were all there.
Joseline rocked a custom silk floral dress by designer Tristan Blake.
Rasheeda spent her birthday celebrating Yandy’s nuptials.
K. Michelle was there to sing Yandy’s favorite song before she walked sown the aisle. Then she posed it up with “Mob Wives” star Renee Graziano.
Kandi and Todd Tucker snapped pics with everyone.
Including daughter Kayla’s favorite people: The newly engaged Ceaser & Dutchess Lattimore of “Black Ink Crew.”
Little M and his cousin posed it up with Yandy.
And so did Ray J and Marlo Hampton who rocked a House of Chappele dress for the occasion.
The love birds were snapped during their first dance.
And love was in the air as Young Joc and Karlie Redd were spotted–by Kandi–getting all close.
How cute is little Aasim during his fitting?!
Over at the reception, Mendeecees posed it up with his “lil brother’ Young Baggy. Definitely a cutie.
This multi-tier cake was cut some kind of way.
