Following last month’s school shooting in Florida, there has been a serious call on gun control.
Recently celebrities have been donating to the March For Our Lives organization, as students prepare to march to end gun violence.
According to The Blast, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are the latest celebrities to donate a large amount to the cause.
While on the carpet for “Jesus Christ Superstar,” John Legend talked about their donation. “We believe our gun culture needs to change in America. We stand out among other major countries in the world when it comes to these kinds of massacres, but also in the everyday gun violence people have to deal with.”
He continued, “I don’t think we should accept that as normal, we have gotten too used to it. I think that we’ve decided that everyone having unfettered access to guns is more important than all of us being safe.”
Other celebrities that have donated include Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, and Steven Spielberg.
