Life-long Mets fan Nicloe “Snooki” Polizzi did not get the warmest welcome at Citi Field Monday night. The “Jersey Shore” star was booed by fellow fans when she was shown on the jumbo video board in the seventh inning. Snooki and her fiancé Jionni LaValle were at Citi filming a segment for a show for Major League Baseball. She and LaValle met with third baseman David Wright in the dugout before the game. Terry Collins watched the pack of photographers and handlers that followed Polizzi into his dugout and quickly fled. When asked if he was a “fan of Snooki,” Collins flatly said, “No,” and went back into his clubhouse.
And if Snooki didn’t hear it in Flushing, she surely did on Twitter.
“Glad I made your night,” she replied to one poster, who wrote: “We need better and decent celebrity fans! Had a great time booing @snooki at the game tonight.”
