Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek, suffered a mild heart attack Saturday, but the “Jeopardy!” host should make a full recovery and return to the game show next month, a Sony Television spokeswoman said Sunday. Trebek, 71, checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles Saturday and remained there Sunday, Sony’s Paula Askanas said.

He suffered a heart attack in December 2007, but resumed his hosting duties within weeks. Last July, he made headlines when he snapped his Achilles tendon chasing a burglar out of his hotel room at the Marriott Marquis in San Francisco, where he was staying with his wife. Trebek confronted Lucinda Moyers, 56, whom police later arrested and described as having a long criminal record. The “Jeopardy!” host remained in a cast for six weeks.

Trebek told Fox News host Chris Wallace in May that he was thinking of retiring, but that friends have urged him to host “Jeopardy!” for two more years, to reach three decades on the show.
