Hip-hop mogul Jay Z met with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Dec. 10 to discuss necessary changes to the state’s criminal justice system and encourage him to appoint a special prosecutor in the case of Eric Garner.

Jay Z, who is seemingly silent when it comes to his social activism and charity work, caught a bit of flak after posing with the Nets players, and not wearing a T-shirt. But many came to Hova’s defense and noted that he does a lot of charity work; he just doesn’t talk about it.

Jay Z’s meeting with Cuomo comes on the heels of a grand jury in New York deciding not to indict the officer involved in the choking death of Eric Garner. Since that decision was handed down, protests have been held nightly, not only in New York City, but across the country.

Hmm, I wonder will this meeting between Jay Z and Cuomo result in any changes?
