Donald Trump is nowhere close to his 100 days in Office and America is already feeling the effects of his presidency. From his alternative facts to his “Muslim travel ban” and let’s not forget the wall, it’s hard to understand how anyone supports Donnie and his views.

Well, one high school teacher may have taken his Trump support to new grounds after refusing to teach undocumented immigrants.

According to the NY Post, John Sullivan is in hot water after he sent an email to staff at the James Campbell High School in Ewa Beach, Hawaii saying that he will not teach students who are in the country illegally.

“This is another attack on the President over deportation. Their parents need to apply for immigration like everyone else. If they are here in the US illegally, I won’t teach them,” he said.

Apparently, the email was sent in response to a counselor at the school who shared statistics showing that students weren’t showing up to school because they were afraid of getting deported. Well now Sullivan is saying that his email was taken out of context.

“My comment in the email refers to (the email’s title) if students is (sic) kept home, teachers cannot teach them,” Sullivan told Hawaii News Now.

Principal Jon Henry Lee, who says Sullivan also violated policy since he used his school’s email to share his political opinion, met with the teacher to help figure out if there would be any disciplinary action would be taken.

“I just reminded him again that we don’t discriminate against any individuals… we’re going to service all students that are registered in our school,” Lee told the station.

Corey Rosenlee, president of the Hawaii State Teachers Association, also added, “At the same time, HSTA strongly believes that every child has the right to an education, regardless of their immigration status.”

Welp, looks like I may have to rethink my vacation plans depending on how this story works out… let’s chat below!
