The Grammy Awards are this coming Sunday and the powers that be are prohibiting butts, breasts, genitals and thongs. A report released earlier on Wednesday spells out the wardrobe criteria for celebrities attending the awards show.
According to a report from TMZ , this warning was addressed to everyone considered “talent” who will appear at the show on Sunday.
CBS Standards and Practices sent the warning via email to those connected to the celebrities–likely managers or publicists–who are on the list to attend.
They made it clear that anyone who will appear on camera must adhere to the new rules.
“Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered,”the letter reads. “Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack.”
The new rules also pertain to any audience member, as they all stand a chance of appearing on camera at some point during the broadcast.
“Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible ‘puffy’ bare skin exposure.
Please avoid commercial identification of actual brand name products on T-shirts,” the letter continues.
One very interesting–and possibly problematic–facet to this situation is that most of these celebrities have long since planned and procured what they’ll wear to the Grammys on Sunday.
Will some of them now be scrambling for new wardrobe options or running to a seamstress to fix possible potential malfunctions?
