The comedian Tracy Morgan has been transferred from the hospital to a rehab center to start the next step in his recovery from a limo crash accident, his publicist, Lewis Kay, revealed in a statement to CNN on Friday (June 20).

In addition to providing an update on Morgan’s location, the statement also gave insight to his condition.

But Morgan’s rep, says that his journey isn’t over yet.

“Tracy has been transferred to an undisclosed rehab center, where he is expected to remain for the next few weeks,” Kay told The Wrap. “While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go.”

Kay also passed along the 30 Rock alum’s thanks and praises to everyone at the New Jersey hospital where he received his care.

Morgan was injured during a limo bus crash on the New Jersey turnpike back on June 7 resulting in broke ribs, nose and leg. The First Sunday actor was leaving a performance at the Dover Downs Casino and Hotel near Cranberry Township, NJ before the accident occurred.

The vehicle that rear-ended Morgan’s limo was a semi truck that was driving over the speed limit, operated by a driver who was near his drive time limit.
