Four Chicago teens were arrested Friday night on attempted residential burglary charges when they were found breaking into a Naperville house, police said.
Officers responded to a 5 p.m. call of a burglary in progress in the 1600 block of Ada Lane and located one suspect on foot and three others in a vehicle, a Naperville Police Department news release said.
Antonio Valladares, 18, of the 2400 block of Christina Avenue, Chicago, was the only one to be charged as an adult because of his age. He was also charged with criminal trespass to land and possession of a false Social Security card. He is being held in the DuPage County jail.
The other suspects — two 16-year-old males and a 14-year-old female — were charged as juveniles, the release said. The 16-year-olds are being held in the DuPage County Youth Home and the female was released to her parents.
One of the 16-year-olds were also charged with criminal trespass to land and possession of burglary tools, the release said. The other was also charged with aggravated assault to a police officer, no valid driver’s license, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, failure to yield at an intersection and possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis.
