More than 300 guests, bundled in cozy coats and layers, filled the UnitedHealthcare Foundation Gathering Barn at Hope Farms for Recipe For Success Foundation’s recent inaugural Fashion in the Fields presented by Neiman Marcus.
The event, which featured a runway show and hosted by KPRC’s Courtney Zavala, raised more than $200,000 for the foundation’s effort to combat childhood obesity.
Hope Farms, which opened in 2017, is a 7-acre project located at 10401 Scott at Airport in a predominately African American community. The area is one of the city’s food deserts, in which it is difficult to buy affordable or quality fresh food.
