Today, a three-judge panel from the Fifth Circuit Court in favor of the NFL to reinstate Cowboys’s running back #EzekielElliott’s 6-game suspension.

Back in August the NFL player was accused of physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend back in 2016 and after finding what the league described as”substantial and persuasive evidence” against the #DallasCowboys running back, they decided to suspend him for six games.

Elliott appealed his punishment, but it was denied which led U.S. District Judge Amos Mazzant to file an injunction. He sided with the NFL players’ union attorneys that this treatment was unfair to Elliott. Since Mazzant had no jurisdiction over the case,  NFL won today.

Via Fox News:

“The NFL countered that it followed procedures under the league’s labor deal and that the union improperly filed a lawsuit before the appeals process was complete.

But the appeals court ruled Thursday that Mazzant had no jurisdiction over the matter and ordered the Eastern District of Texas to dismiss the case.”
