#EzekielElliott has lost the appeal to a 6-game suspension following the NFL’s year-long investigation into domestic abuse claims.
He was accused of physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend back in 2016 and after finding what the league described as”substantial and persuasive evidence” against the #DallasCowboys running back, they decided to suspend him for six games.
Elliott appealed his punishment, but it has officially been denied today following an arbitration hearing. His team expressed their disappointment with the verdict.
“We are extremely disappointed with Mr. Henderson’s inability to navigate through league politics, and follow the evidence and, most importantly, his conscience,” they said. According to TMZ, the case is headed to federal court where Elliott will ask a judge to reduce his suspension.
