Celebs hit the stage and audience for the sold out Pepsi Funkfest this weekend in Atlanta. Check out a few folks we haven’t seen in a while (like Total), plus Erykah Badu, Demetria McKinney and more inside….
At the Wolfcreek Amphitheater in the ATL, R&B folks and a rapper or two took the stage to rock out for the fans both Friday and Saturday for the Fest that’s all about celebrating old school music meeting new school.
Erykah Badu was one of the major acts and she didn’t disappoint with that overwhelmingly big hair we love and her “shady” appearance. Y’all know she loves a good face-cover:
A few folks we don’t see often linked up to perform again:
Marsha Ambrosius and Natalie Stewart of Floetry took the stage early to perform their hits.
And our fave 90’s group Total reunited (without Keisha Epps) to bring the hits we grew up on.
Keri Hilson caught up with R.Kelly one night and he also hit the stage for the crowd.
Uncle Luke brought the Miami crunkness both days.
“RHOA” star and actress Demetria McKinney is still chasing her dreams of being a singing star. She hit the stage to perform…
And her co-star Kandi Burruss was there to cheer her on. Kandi, who celebrates her birthday today, said:
Last night I went to #PepsiFunkFest to support @demetria4real! Happy to see her fulfilling her dream! I know some of Yall are saying “but Yall said she couldn’t be a pop artist”. I did, but I also said I thought she would be great at R&B artist. Because the girl can sang! And guess what she has her record deal & she’s about to take over R&B/urban music! God willing her music will even cross over to top the pop charts & I would gladly eat my words! Lol! Everybody follow her & watch her musical journey!
Da Brat was also there to perform with Demetria:
