Despite the album being delayed by a week, Drake decided to reveal the covers for his upcoming album, Nothing Was the Same,  now arriving on September 24.

The dual-covers designed by Kadir Nelson illustrate the past and present. The standard artwork depicts Drake as a child with a big afro and comb along a clear blue sky, as the deluxe cover is more of a present look with Drizzy’s recent trademark hair part.

The follow-up to 2011’s Take Care features the singles“Started From the Bottom” and “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” with contributions from Jay Z, Lil Wayne, and Hudson Mohawke.

What do you think of the cover art, and please don’t the baby photo looks like Blue Ivy?? lol!!

  1. For the baby photo to be past and the adult photo for present is a good concept. I like it. I’ve stated on another platform that the painting is nice in terms of portraiture. Slightly stylized. I’m curious about the sky and clouds and if it means anything. I’m sure it does but it’s fascinating with it’s simplicity overall. just enough to make you wonder what the content will be like in the album Nothing Was The Same. Kadir Nelson is the same one who did Michael Jackson’s cover art for Michael so he is respected for his work.
