Happy Thursday, folks!

I am super busy preparing for all of our upcoming events! Plane tickets, shipments, emails, invites…I am drowning in to do lists! But last night, I took a break to join Fashion Bomb Daily’s Special Projects Director Ty Hunter and Sean Frazier at a shopping event at Zac Posen’s atelier.

I was invited to the WASH Gala – FACE Africa, which my friend Funa described as the Met Gala for people of African descent. The first time I went to a Gala, I wore a suit…and I kinda never recovered from the snooty stares I received. So I want a GOWN, darling! And who does it better than Mr. Posen?

I was instantly drawn to this fuchsia stunner.

I was sure they wouldn’t have my size! They didn’t, but they have a few alternative styles on hand in my size.

Finding the right gown can be difficult because you have to ask: will this photograph well? How will the fabric rock by the end of the night? Will I SHUT IT DOWN in this dress?!?

At any rate, the search continues.
And part of me feels like I should wear an African designer for an Africa themed gala…what do you think?

For the day, I wore a Zara ensemble, a Duckie Confetti fur, Giuseppe Zanotti boots, and a Chloe bag from Lexlyn Group.

Hot! or Hmm..? To my neon mani?
