The Chicago White Sox have announced they will not offer outfielder Avisail Garcia a contract, making him a free agent ahead of Friday’s non-tender deadline.

Garcia hit 19 home runs and drove in 49 RBI for the White Sox last season, but the team has opted not to bring him back for another season, ending a six year run with the club.

The White Sox acquired Garcia in 2013 from the Tigers, and in that time he has hit 76 home runs and driven in 302 RBI for the club.

Earlier Friday, the team also opted to non-tender third baseman Matt Davidson, but they did sign outfielder Leury Garcia to a one year, $1.55 million contract.
