The Chicago Bears opened OTAs yesterday, but today is the day the media was granted access to the practice and the players. And you guys know what that means, fresh Bears’ news!

We’ll get the bad news out of the way first, and tell you which Bears were unable to practice due to injury. Kyle Long, Danny Trevathan and Jaye Howard are all still rehabbing their injuries from last year. Long is working back from an ankle and labrum injury, Trevathan’s knee injury could keep him out until the start of the season, and Howard has a hip injury he’s coming back from. These three missing was all expected.

Kevin White, after practicing yesterday*, was held out today. Head coach John Fox said that “he’s coming off surgery like 6 or 7 others,” and that it isn’t a new injury.

*FYI, I put those three words in bold because a lot of tweets I read earlier made it seem like White hasn’t practiced.

Josh Sitton and Willie Young also did not participate in practice, and Fox said it was injury related.

There were no reported hold outs, so it looks like everyone is on the same page this year.

Fox confirmed that Roy Robertson-Harris is making the switch from linebacker to defensive line.

After practice, quarterback Mike Glennon met the media and our own Robert Zeglinski will have more on that later today.

Here are a few Tweets about the Bears.
