The 23rd annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards was held this weekend at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. The invitation-only awards celebration is known for honoring the songwriters and publishers of the most performed ASCAP songs on the 2010 R&B/Hip-Hop, Rap and Gospel charts.

The night’s victory laid with Beyonce who won three awards in the category of R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. The songs she won for are lifted from her multi-platinum selling album ‘I Am…Sasha Fierce’. Those songs in question are ‘Diva’, ‘Ego’ and ‘Single Ladies’. These are songs that Beyonce had a hand in co-writing, or at least according to what’s on paper.

The 28-year-old will be ecstatic at her Awards since she prides herself in having us believe she largely contributes towards the songwriting process, although others who have filed lawsuits in the past may beg to differ.
